    Empty Box for 25 .56-50 Spencer Shot Cartridges
    Description: Very nice box considering the age. This one still retains most of the color and shows some soiling from age. These Spencer boxes are becoming increasingly hard to find in good condition. This box has the "Shot Cartridges" label applied to the front. It would have originally contained 25 .56-50 shot cartridges with the impressed "U" headstamp and wooden sabot filled with shot. There are some light pushes to the side of the box and the lid has a repaired corner. This box would date after 1885 when the impressed "U" headstamp was used.
