Description

Convenient palm-sized unit for storing tubes during experiments with beta-emitter radionuclides or storage in a -20 C freezer. Lid fits onto base and will not slide off but is easily lifted to reveal tubes -- no latches to fumble with. Staggered tube geometry and very clear acrylic makes it easy to see which tube is which through the side.
Checked for radioactive contamination in 2015, the last time it was used. Nothing detected; it would have long since decayed anyway.
