KX450F Head rebuild service complete upgrade Del West valve train installed

Description

We suggest you send your head in for inspection before paying. This service is specific for the KX450F and includes the removal of your valves, soda blast the carbon away, inspect for all needed repairs.  All valve seats are cut with a high flow multi angle profile using  our super accurate Rottler seat and guide machine.  The head then professionally assembled with new Del West CrN PVD coated Titanium valves, new OEM springs and Viton seals.  Stem heights are checked and spring pressures are corrected, deck is surfaced and vacuum checked.  This will put your head back in perfect condition.  For racing this service should be done every 80 hours to maintain full power and reliability.   For another we will adjust the valve shims.  If the head needs guides or seats we will call with a quote.
We offer the same service but with Kibblewhite stainless valves and their spring kit for 9.  We don't suggest using the 40% heavier than Ti stainless valves for racing or high RPM use.  We call this our economy trail package.
We service a lot of KX450 heads. usually due to overheating, which warps head and the exhaust guides become offset creating a concentricity error between the axis of the guide and seat. The result is low compression, head gaskets leaks, tuning problems and hard starting. This requires re-cutting the exhaust seats, surfacing the head and is included in our general service.
If the seats or guides become damaged or you want a full race head, we install new Copper Beryllium seats and Copper Manganese guides, porting and many seat face profiles. We
do not
suggest using heavy aftermarket Stainless valve and spring kits on the stock seats. The valve train and seat material was not designed to handle the heavier valves and loose 2 or more Hp.
We can also fix most cam jornal seizures from cam binding.
We perform all machining on the race developed Rottler SG7 seat and guide machine and specially tooled for the power sports industry.
