May/June 1982 German tour, commencing at the Deutschlandhalle in Berlin on 12th May and ending at the Donauhalle in Ulm on 27th June, 1982, presented by Mike Scheller Concerts. Zappa was touring in support of the
Ship Arriving Too Late to Save a Drowning Witch
album. Recorded at Zappa’s own Utility Muffin Reserach Kitchen studio and produced by Zappa himself,
Ship Arriving Too Late
… was released on 3rd May, 1982 on the Barking Pumpkin label. It features five tracks composed by Zappa, and one song, “Valley Girl”, co-written with Moon Unit Zappa, his daughter, who provided the spoken monologue mocking Valley girls, including phrases like “Gag me with a spoon!”. The album’s first half consists of studio recordings, while the second half consists of live recordings.
The poster measures 83.8 x 59.3 cm (approx. 33" by 23.3" inches) and is beautifully printed in red and black inks on thin, coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded and unmarked condition, ready to frame.
