1978 POLAROID SX-70 ALPHA CAMERA IN CASE W/ PAPERWORK, FLASH UNIT. Talk about a blast from the past, this fascinating purchased May 13th, 1978 in the Peru, illinois, K-Mart Polaroid sx-70 alpha camera with focal flash unit and its original case and paperwork, including brochure, sales receipt, and instructions for use, is a fascinating and clean vintage Polaroid sx-70 Land camera automatic film developing item with paperwork, which in itself is amazing. This was a very expensive camera in 1978, at .99, and the flash unit at being around .99, illustrates the advanced nature of this camera in 1978. Please review photos. The mechanism works quite smoothly and it looks like the camera has been well taken care of, but I have no way to test it, and no film. The bellows are quite clean and supple, the unit itself is an excellent original condition, though for some reason the black skin of the camera exterior is reflecting some white spotting here and there, possibly due to age of the black vinyl plastic. The finish of the exterior is black, whereas usually they are brown, which is rather unique. There are a few spots, especially in one corner, where the vinyl covering of the camera has split a bit, and you can see the hairline on the vinyl plastic skin, it does not detract from the camera but it is an aesthetic issue.
