    For auction is a program from the San Francisco (California) Symphony Orchestra. It is for performances during the 1960-1961 season featuring the Byron Janis as Guest Artist. Founded in 1911, the orchestra has performed at the Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall in the City's Hayes Valley neighborhood. In its earlier years, it performed in other venues, to include concert halls and hotels. This program covers several events: (a) concerts on February 8-10, 1961 with Byron Janis as Guest Artist; and (b) concerts on February 15, 17-18, 1961 and February 22-24, 1961 featuring Pierre Monteux as Guest Conductor. All performances were at War Memorial Opera House.
