    Description

    For bid is an original 1938 General Electric Supply Corporation catalog of "LIGHTING" including lighting fixtures, desktop and other lights, etc.  From the title page of "Lighting Book 39L" as printed: "LIGHTING EQUIPMENT for Commercial, Industrial, Floodlighting Requirements."  Motto was "Better Light - Better Sight."  All information in this booklet is copyright 1938.  From the table of contents:  Light Conditioning, Commercial and Industrial Equipment, Specialties, Desk Lamps and Portables, Lowering Hangers, Flood Lighting Poles, Street Lighting Poles and Fixtures, Time Switches, Mazda Lamps, "Glo-Lamps," Alphabetical Index, General Information.
    Catalog has blue board covers and over 192 pages inside!  Illustrated with photographs and lots of details and information about the various lighting products!  The Art Deco era designs are just PRICELESS!
    This is a great catalog in very good, used condition.  It's a great reference on 1930's Art Deco era LIGHTING and LIGHT FIXTURES for homes and businesses.  This may have been an office copy of the catalog from a GE Suppy Corporation office at 1201 Bryant Street in San Francisco, California.
